Horses, ponies, and foals galore! With the help of Heather White, we were all able to enjoy an extravagant trip to the Therapeutic Equestrian Center in Cold Spring. Residents thoroughly enjoyed grooming the horses, as well as acknowledging how to care for all of the animals residing at the stables.
We were delighted to have a visit this summer from a local High School student, Faith Schultz, and her two baby goats. Residents were delighted to pet the sweet, curious creatures out on our patio.
What a success our recent Intergenerational Art Project was this summer! Our woodcarvers created birdhouses and picture frames for the Assisted Living residents to paint. A local Girl Scout Troop led by Ruth Green helped our residents complete the painting.
Our woodshop teacher, Dave Carrier and resident Len Weiss created beautifully engraved birdfeeders during our Wednesday morning woodcarving class recently. The feeders will be put to good use for our amazing assortment of feathered friends here at The Fountains!
